…slowly driving down New Road, trying to find a place called ‘Annapurna Trading’, even though half the businesses in Nepal are called Annapurna, but this one has had your waterfilter for the past 3 months and you need it back, but you don’t have their phone number because it’s on a sticker on the filter…

…fighting the ants every day, and when you find some in the knackebrod you brought from home, instead of throwing it out, you put it in the fridge so the ants will get out or die, because it’s just too valuable to throw out…

…driving past a big stage next to the domestic airport, where people are staging a protest program because they want the international airport to be built soon, and part of their program is a ‘relay hunger strike’ …a RELAY hunger strike…such dedication!

…making sure you have all the basics (rice, veggies, meat, cheese, coffee) in your house before there’s another 2 day strike, for the same reasons as the hunger strike…

…Skyping everyday with Sweden, trying not to get discouraged by bad connection or communication challenges and trying to not think too much about the distance, but instead enjoying to see the 20 pixels that are supposed to be your fiance’s face, and when you miss him too much all you can do is write a text, write an email or write a letter, but always telling yourself that this is only temporary…

…noticing how the Google Ads on the websites you visit are not showing wedding dresses anymore, but now it’s beach resorts in Thailand…
